We have an overseas department and are interested in supporting potential sales with plans of these properties, can you help?

Yes, we can provide plans of any properties that are provided to us on our survey sheets, however we cannot provide the site survey service presently.

We work in feet and inches is this a problem?
A
No, we can work in either metric or imperial units (but please not both!).

How accurate are your plans?
A
Our plans can only be as accurate as the survey, but because in almost all cases the plans are finally produced at a very small scale the accuracy is normally excellent.

The Costs

How much does the service cost?
A
The pricing is based on ‘The Bedroom’ as the unit of currency. With packages sold in 10, 25, 50 and 100 bedroom units but watch out for special offers.

How is payment made for the service?
A
Packages of bedroom can be bought direct from the website on the payment page or by sending a cheque to Home-Plan.org offices.

Can I be notified if my ‘Bedroom’ account runs low?
A
Yes. You will be notified by e-mail as soon as your account drops below an agreed level.

How do I find out the current state of my account?

The Guarantee
Q
What does ‘next working day’ actually mean?
A
Provided we receive the completed survey sheet in our offices before 16.30 we will guarantee to issue a digital plan back to your office before the 17.00 the next working day (Monday to Friday working week).

What does your ‘next day guarantee’ offer?
A
If we do not achieve our target of ‘next working day’ we will still provide the plan as soon as is possible and you will not be charged for the service.

What is excluded from the ‘next day guarantee’?
A
If we are required to carry out the survey, as this sometimes takes a couple of days to book a survey time. We will however still offer the guarantee from the time of the survey.

Marketing the Service

Do you have any advice on how to market this service?
A
Different agents will market the service in different ways however the most common ways are noted below:
Offer the service within your sales percentage, this could be edge over your competition.
Sell the service, direct to your clients regardless of sale, this offers an immediate margin and guarantee of turnover.
Put the clients into direct contact with Home-Plan.org where we will provide them with the plans which they then forward to yourself for inclusion into the particulars.

Yes. As soon as your office has bought more than 25 bedrooms worth of plans you are immediately added to our web site links page.

The Survey
Q
What if we miss something out during the survey?
A
If you miss out a door, or window etc during the survey which can happen then just send us the revision marked on our first draft and we will update it for no extra charge.

What level of quality do you expect on the survey sheets?
A
We expect a legible plan that is clearly dimensioned. We have examples of completed surveys on the website which should act as a yardstick.

My staff are all very busy and I am concerned that we cannot carry out the survey without impacting on our schedule of visits?
A
Home-Plan now offers a survey service where we will visit the house for you, (picking up the keys from your office) and carrying out the survey. The prices for this service are dependent on the size of property and location. You can check the prices for this service on our interactive map of the UK. Payment for this service is upon invoice rather than pre-payment and will be offered dependent on credit rating.

Do you offer survey training?

We have an online step by step guide to carrying out the survey and will offer an in house training day for clients who have purchased over 100 bedrooms.

Who owns the copyright of the plans that are produced?
A
Home-Plan.org owns the copyright of the plans produced and so they may not be reproduced for any other purpose than selling the property (i.e. planning permission etc).

Are there any Home-Plan logos on the plans produced?
A
There is a small logo contained at the lower right hand corner of the plans, this should be retained at all times.
